A departmental email is a University staff member-owned account that is forwarded to a departmental server.
A University staff member who works for a department that requires them to read their email in their own domain may forward their email to their departmental server.
The Departmental email cannot be used to store either Payment Card Information or Protected Health Information.
- If a University faculty or staff members handles sensitive information, such as student information, patient information, human resource information or grant data, they must not forward these communications to a non-University service, but they may forward it to a departmental service.
